udp through router

is it possible to make udp faster so I can make my ping times lower. I have udp settings in my router for gaming. I can connect but the ping time is high and makes lag for all my games. Is ther something to fix here?

Latency is generally a problem due the source and destination of the traffic. In some cases, UDP traffic is blocked by firewalls, but for the instance you are speaking of, I don't think there is much you can do.

OK. I'm on DSL in the UK and our speeds are not as fast as the USA.
