usb port on cisco firewall

I saw a picture of a usb port on a cisco router. Are they using usb to manage them now and not the console port/

That is for a USB thumb drive. My brother has one of them types of firewalls. He was showing it to me last week and he said you can load different things from the thumb drive on the firewall. He said you can also log to it.
